Double Z Fold Fall Card

I’ve got a double z-fold card you’ll want to learn how to make!  Making a Double Z-fold card is fun and since there are so many ways you can make them you will have the opportunity for a lot of variety!  You can change the sizes of the z-fold card and even how the card opens up.

The Rich Razzleberry cardstock is 11 1/2" x 4 1/4"; scored at 3" & 6".

The Very Vanilla cardstock is 10 3/8" x 3 3/8"; scored at 4 3/8" & 7 3/8".

The patterned paper is retired - from a pack of Paisley Petals.

I stamped 3 feathers from Tasteful Touches onto Vanilla cardstock and colored them with the SU Blends (Daffodil and Rich Razzleberry) and adhered them to the front of the card.  The sentiment (from Sending Sunshine) is stamped with Rich Razzleberry ink onto one of the Tasteful Labels dies.  I stamped the feather images in the background of the Razzleberry card for a little dimension.

Seaside View from my chair!

This is where you will find me this week!  We are finally taking a break from COVID and hitting the surf!  We have rented a condo for the week and scoped out golf courses for Sonny while Ashley and I hang out at the beach.  I have packed a couple of casseroles that I had in the freezer, Ashley is bringing her chicken concoction for lunch and we have stocked up on chips, crackers, beer, water, and rum!!

Can't you see me sitting in that chair, sipping on a cuba libre!!

Z Fold Card with Seaside View

I borrowed the Seaside View stamp set from a friend and created a few cards using her stamp set.   She just bought a condo at the beach and I thought this was the perfect stamp set for her!

I will be sitting in that Adirondack chair next week when I am at the beach!!  Can't wait!

I did another Double Z Fold card - I started with smaller Sahara Sand Z Fold by scoring it at 4 1/2" & 7 1/2".  I embossed the front fold with the Seaside Embossing Folder (retired).

On a panel of Whisper White cardstock, I stamped the larger image in black Memento ink.  I colored the image using Balmy Blue, Calypso Coral, Crumb Cake, Just Jade and Night of Navy Stampin' Blends.  I die cut the image using the 4th largest die from the Stitched Rectangle Dies and adhered it to the front of the Sahara Sand card base using dimensionals.  I adhered a few gems to the front of the card.

I adhered a panel of retired designer paper to the back panel of the large Misty Moonlight card base (4 1/4" x 11" and scored at 3 7/8 and 5 1/8".)  I adhered the small Sahara Sand card base to the larger Misty Moonlight card base with liquid glue.

On the inside, I stamped the sentiments from Seaside View on 2 different panels (3" x 2 3/4") of Whisper White cardstock.  I stamped the Adirondack chair on one panel and the palm tree on the other panel in black ink.  I colored the images with Stampin' Blends.

TAG BUFFET

 All You Can Tag Buffet

ALL YOU CAN TAG BUFFET
It’s that time of year to get your tags and cards ready, because from now until the end of the year, you won’t be able to get enough (and neither will your customers)! The Tag Buffet Stamp Set is perfect for anyone, and you can share it at every party you have in the upcoming months.
And if you’re looking for a simple way to add variety to your projects, with just a few sheets of cardstock and your trusty Paper Trimmer, you can easily create three unique cards to highlight multiple stamps from this set.
For all of the cards above, we started with:
  • Tag Buffet Stamp Set
  • The same ink colors (Bermuda Bay, Coastal Cabana, Flirty Flamingo, Poppy Parade, Tuxedo Black Memento Ink)
  • Wonder of the Season Ribbon Combo Pack (gold cord)
  • Poppy Parade card base (3-1/2" x 5"; 8.9 x 12.7 cm)
  • Coastal Cabana Cardstock (3-1/2" x 1"; 8.9 x 2.5 cm)
  • Shimmery White Cardstock (3" x 3"; 7.6 x 7.6 cm)
  • Trimming the Town Designer Series Paper (2-1/2" x 4"; 6.4 x 10.2 cm)
Ornament Card
Stamp, color, layer, adhere.
’Tis the Season Card
No trimming necessary. Switch the orientation of the card, stamp different images, and tie a bow.
With Love Card
Trim the Designer Series Paper into two 1-1/4" x 4" (3.2 x 10.2 cm) pieces and cut notches into the Coastal Cabana Cardstock.
What can you create with these same parts and pieces?

Lovely You Bundle

There is so much you can do with the Lovely You stamp set.  Plus when you purchase it as a bundle, you get a bonus of the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch!  I love to use punches - quicker and easier sometimes than dies.  The new Lovely Labels Pick a Punch is SIX punches in one!  Two designs, three widths, any length.  It's so convenient and versatile.   See a few samples below.

More Paper Pumpkin Alternatives

Still loving this month's Paper Pumpkin.

Simple one - I just matted the postcard onto Coastal Cabana and then onto the white card.  I spritzed the card with a mixture of alcohol and Frost White Shimmer paint.  I should have stamped the sentiment after I spritzed as it made the ink run a little bit.

This is one of the little tea candle bags that I cut apart.  I used Stickles on the "burst."

This is a card using pieces from June and July's kits.

July Paper Pumpkin Alternatives

Here are a few of the July Paper Pumpkin alternative cards I made.  This Summer Nights kit is such a fun one.  Instead of full cards in the kit, it came with materials to make little tea light baggies and 9 postcards.

For this card, I used Blackberry Bliss cardstock for the base.  I cut 2 strips of the postcard that came in the kit and used dimensionals to pop up the carousel.

Night of Navy is the base for this card and a layer of Coastal Cabana.  On one of the postcards I stamped the fireworks with black Memento ink.  I also stamped the meerkats from the Sale-a-bration stamp set and colored them in with my black marker.  The picture above looks like they are not colored in well but when you look at the card itself, it looks fine.

This is one of my favorites!  It is a shaker card with the fireflies inside the vellum jar.  I sponged the grass and the sky.

Love this sentiment!  It's hard to see but I squeezed a bit of Wink of Stella underneath the firefly.

Celebrate Sunflowers with a Watercolor Wash & Glassine Paper

More sunflowers!!  I really love this stamp set.

This card was an experiment.  I was cleaning up and found a package of glassine paper that I bought several years ago.  I cut a piece and wadded it up and then straightened it out.  I took the Cinnamon Cider ink pad and rubbed it all over the paper.  I adhered it to the white scalloped piece and stamped the sunflower and leaves on it.  I matted it onto Cinnamon Cider cardstock and then onto Thick Whisper White cardstock.  It's different and adds a little texture to the card.

This is a card I received from my upline.  It's so bright and cheery!

For this card, I did a watercolor wash onto watercolor paper with Granny Apple Green, Coastal Cabana, and Highland Heather.

NC Demos Stamp-a-Long

Our NC SU Demos did a Stamp-a-Long in June and July.  Different demonstrators demonstrated their  cards during a Facebook Live presentation.  It was fun to stamp along with the gals virtually.  Here are a few of the cards I made while watching the demonstrators on-line.

I love this fold!

Box of Sunshine

Everyone could use a little bit of sunshine in their lives right now.  So, today I have a Box of Sunshine I want to share with you!  It's the June 2020 Paper Pumpkin kit and it's full of bright and cheery card ideas!

The first thing I do when I receive the kit is to make the cards based on the designs as featured in the kit.  I have noticed the kits seem to always contain extra items to play with, so there are lots of opportunities for me to get creative and make additional cards later.  Besides, it's really fun to be able to just sit and create without all of the fuss of coming up with the designs, right???

So the first 4 cards I created are the designs from the June Box of Sunshine kit.  Quick and simple card ideas.  I simply organized all of the supplies and stamped my greetings first.  Once that was complete, it took me about 15 minutes to put all of the cards together. . . instant gratification!

The next card ideas I have to share showcase some of the fun ways to use the leftover supplies from the kit.  Of course, I added a few of my own supplies such as cardstock and patterned paper.  There were pineapples, lemons and sunshine shapes leftover after putting together the cards from the kitl.  So, here are the fun cards I made:

I used a small flower punch to punch out these flowers from a piece of watercolor paper that I had painted with my Aqua Brush using Bumblebee, Poppy Parade, Bermuda Bay and Just Jade inks.

A watercolor wash on Shimmery White cardstock.

This was a fun one!  I used my Score Board to score lines across the white card front.  Next I used SU Blends (or you could use markers) inside each scoremark.  I died a piece of ribbon to match the pineapple.
